Deconstructing Moro and Bolsonaro – all in the same boat.
In short, it's still too early for certainties. However, we continue studying the facts, both fabricated and real, to devise the best strategies to defend the interests of those who truly need it – and don't know they're being deceived: the people!
No: Bolsonaro is not Moro's enemy. Yes: Moro is Bolsonaro's accomplice!
I begin this text by making it clear that progressive political forces will need all the wisdom and strategic sense to interpret and act in the face of a new (predictable, but not yet apparent) chess game in the Brazilian political landscape: the departure of Sérgio Moro, the "Thief Judge," from the Ministry of Justice.
We cannot fall into the trap of forgetting, in this scene of Moro's departure, when denouncing Bolsonaro for his abuses, the abuses of the former judge of the Lava Jato operation. Look: there is no dichotomy between these political actors. They are two sides of the same fascist, cruel, and patrimonialist coin of the State; they are more of the same; they are cut from the same cloth; it is the same rotten basket of old, hypocritical, and demagogic politics, which feigns an image of "something good" to society.
Moro was never honest[1]. And by resigning from the ministry, he confesses to two crimes: one of his own (asking for an illegal pension for his family); and another of Bolsonaro's: that the President of Brazil wanted a puppet within the Federal Police to pass on information from confidential investigations – of course, mainly concerning his militia offspring). Therefore, Sérgio Moro is a sinner like any other, or worse.
Bolsonaro: we all know that he and his sons, 01, 02 and 03 (thankfully there are no more in politics) are neck-deep in various crimes, both white-collar and illegal (along with the Rio de Janeiro militias).
However, what is important in this text is to raise a problematic issue: the need to continue deconstructing the false-mythological figure of Jair Bolsonaro. This also includes, for the moment, Sérgio Moro, this fraudulent "hero" who uses fallacies to prevail in the passion of his devotees. It is therefore a matter of producing a narrative of reality that tears away the veil that hides these pseudo-representatives from the people's perception of seriousness.
The truth is that their crimes, frankly, matter far less than the evils that, through the political power these two have wielded via fake news, have produced—an avalanche of the erosion of workers' rights. And that is why one is leaving power (perhaps temporarily); the other will continue (we don't know for how long).
It is also quite true that two political clouds have moved across the blue sky of Brasília (and it takes a great deal of astuteness to interpret the nature of these images). The first is that, with Moro's departure, Bolsonaro loses strength within his own base. His oxygen depends on certain figures, among them, Sérgio Moro and Paulo Guedes. Therefore, the smell of sulfur that began to reside in the Planalto Palace in 2019 is beginning to be replaced by a whiff of impeachment. If we imagine political altitude as viable by means of a hot air balloon, in fact, Moro represents nearly a third of the fuel for Bolsonaro's presidential journey. And this disembarkation of the former judge of the "express-militia" will soon have chronic repercussions, spreading some just and not-so-just motivations in the hearts of our Congressmen.
The second cloud shifting is Moro's potential candidacy for President of the Republic in 2022. Well, this can never be underestimated. However, it's too early for Moro to want to leave the spotlight. Yes, Moro has always used his positions to gain favor with the mainstream media, which elevates him to this bogus stereotype of a corruption fighter, the savior of the nation. But where will there be room for Moro to fabricate his social and political facts ("little facts")? He has more than two years in which he will have to remain visible, in public opinion. No longer wearing the Lava Jato judge's robes and no longer being legal advisor to the militia's office, he will have to pull some rabbits out of a hat. Obviously, I don't doubt the corporatist support he has within the mainstream press – elitist like him. However, any politician who wants to be competitive in a candidacy, who wants to secure a good start in the polls, needs to be "among the people" (at least in their homes, through TV antennas).
In short, it's still too early for certainties. However, we continue studying the facts, both fabricated and real, to devise the best strategies to defend the interests of those who truly need it – and don't know they're being deceived: the people!
For today, let the fascists crush each other, point their guns (make gun gesture) at themselves. Let them do to themselves what they do best to others: COUPS!

[1] Honesty cannot be a concept merely attributed to material values (money, etc.). It is a set of numerous objective and subjective attributes that encompass individuals. Honesty permeates principles and beliefs, including the truthfulness of words and actions, which does not fit with these two characters (whom we hope will be relegated to the sewers of History), those mentioned in our text.
