The Temer government begins.
Now it's for real. After advances and setbacks, Michel Temer's government finally begins. Enthroned by the sovereign decision of the Chamber of Deputies, for which a solid majority was elected in 2014, with the lofty mission of replacing popular decision with the sovereign designs of neoliberal ideology, completely, perhaps definitively, altering the social and economic profile of the Brazilian nation.
Now it's for real. After advances and setbacks, Michel Temer's government finally begins.
Enthroned by the sovereign decision of the Chamber of Deputies. For which a solid majority was elected in 2014, with the lofty mission of replacing the popular decision with the sovereign designs of neoliberal ideology.
Completely, perhaps definitively, altering the social and economic profile of the Brazilian nation.
The once-powerful Globo Network failed to deter President Temer from his sacred mission: to lead the country back to the 19th century. It tried, but it was useless.
With the task of maintaining the elected vice-president as the definitive replacement for the former president completed, the voting on the Laws Promoting Regression (LPR) proceeded as quickly as possible.
Thus creating the "Post-Democratic State," with which the Brazilian people now coexist. Becoming aware of "the pain and the pleasure" of the Soft Dictatorship. Or "Ditabranda," as that São Paulo newspaper preferred to call it.
As Counselor Acácio used to say, "the problem with the consequences is that they only come later..."
And today, November 11, 2017, the new Labor Law, recently approved by Congress, comes into effect. Its detrimental effects will soon be felt, with the destruction of labor rights hard-won by Brazilian workers over decades of struggle.
Perhaps it's the sweet – and belated – revenge of rentier capitalism against Getúlio Vargas, João Goulart, and Luis Inácio Lula da Silva. And, of course, against Pope Leo XIII and his prophetic encyclical "Rerum Novarum" of 1891.
Brazil thus begins its "via crucis," entering the dark and shadowy path. Redundant and difficult. In which all Brazilians, with the notable exception of the well-known minority of a handful of super-rich Brazilians, will taste the bread that the Devil kneaded.
Simply take note (never through the neoliberal media) of what is happening in Spain after the implementation of the new labor regulations.
We continue to await the extinction of the Welfare State, which has been in place in some countries since the period immediately following World War II.
To whom do Brazilians owe the extinction of Democracy, Social Rights, the Rule of Law, the pursuit of Equality, Socioeconomic Inclusion, and the impossibility of us finally becoming a Civilized Society?
With all due respect and recognition to a National Congress, specially elected to implement the TEN PRINCIPLES OF CONCENTRATION OF WEALTH AND POWER (1):
1. REDUCE DEMOCRACY
2. SHAPING IDEOLOGY
3. REDESIGNING THE ECONOMY
4. Shift the burden of supporting society onto the poor and middle class.
5. ATTACKING SOLIDARITY
6. CONTROL THE REGULATORS
7. CONTROL THE ELECTIONS
8. KEEP THE RABBLE IN LINE
9. MANUFACTURING CONSENSUS AND CREATING CONSUMERS
10. MARGINALIZING THE POPULATION
To all the congressmen who, with their pro-impeachment vote in 2016, placed the Executive Power in the hands of a group of men committed to backwardness and inequality. Driven by the worst interests. Absolutely distant from principles and values such as Humanism, Solidarity, Compassion, Ethics, Respect for Nature, Spirituality. (2)
Values that, listed here in good faith, would provoke undisguised laughter of scorn and disdain from those people, due to the unbridled naiveté of those who still cling to and uphold such principles.
To all those who, in a not-so-distant past, would have been rightfully labeled Traitors to the Fatherland, the warning of true patriots: - "Neoliberal theory has not succeeded anywhere in the world. The time will come when those who now seize power will have to account for their nefarious actions. And those who, with their vote, enabled such a setback, will be able to correct these mistakes, acting to recover Democracy and the Fundamental Rights of Brazilian society, through revocatory measures and other appropriate actions, to restore Justice, Democracy and the possible return to Civilization to Brazilians."
Finally, HOPE.
