Temer's seventh minister resigns, even before taking office.
Congressman Antonio Imbassahy (PSDB-BA) was ousted before even assuming the Ministry of Government Secretariat, a position previously held by his fellow Bahian, Geddel Vieira Lima (PMDB-BA); with six ministers dismissed in just six months, Michel Temer (PMDB) reportedly abandoned the appointment of the congressman due to a reaction from the so-called Centrão (center-right bloc).

With six ministers dismissed in just six months, Michel Temer (PMDB) reportedly abandoned the PSDB candidate due to a reaction from the so-called Centrão — a group that brings together more than 200 parliamentarians, mainly from the PSD, PP, PR, and PTB parties.
This discussion involving the Centrão and PSDB is directly related to the dispute over the succession in the Chamber of Deputies. The group that resists Imbassahy has Rogério Rosso (PSD-DF) as its candidate. The PSDB and Temer himself prefer to keep Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), who is the son-in-law of Minister Moreira Franco (PMDB-RJ), in office.
In practice, the Centrão threatened to derail the pension reform vote, and this made the illegitimate president hit the brakes. Therefore, it turned Antonio Imbassahy into a "Widow Porcina"—one who was never truly there.
