Brazil, my Brazilian Brazil – which for a long time (since 2016 it has ceased to be so, being sliced up and handed over piece by piece to the interests of foreign capital)...

My mischievous mulatto (Yes, it has become a country of political incorrectness, of subterfuge, of lies disguised as truths)...

I will sing to you in my verses. – soon, with new colors, with joy returning.

Brazil, samba that gives
Swaying, which makes you sway.
The Brazil of my love
– He got entangled in shady dealings and lost his composure, his rhythm, his direction.

Land of Our Lord
Brazil! Brazil! For me! For me!
For me, for everyone, with hope on the horizon and the certainty that everything will pass.

Oh, open the curtain of the past. – and teaches its true history in schools. It shows what 300 years of slavery did to the mentality of the elites, perpetuating racism and labor analogous to that period. It shows the atrocities of the dictatorship that they deny.

Take the black mother out of the Cerrado. – and let her shine in literature, in science, wherever she wants!
Put the Congo king in the Congado. So that this memory is not lost, so that the traditions brought from Africa are incorporated and valued in our culture, which is so weakened and agonizing...

Brazil! Brazil! React!

Let the troubadour sing again. We miss poets singing of happiness, because for the past four years we've only had sadness to cry about. We want verses to heal our wounds.
In the melancholy light of the moon – We'll say goodbye! Enough of this melancholy!
Every song of my love – With full lungs we will sing again through the streets, alleys and cities.
I want to see that lady walking. – through the courts, begging forgiveness for the insult of having incited: “fire him without mercy”.
Through the halls, dragging
Her lace dress
– as broken as his decrepit conservatism.
Brazil! Brazil! For me! For me! For us, for everyone!

Brazil, a good and pleasant land – who forgot how to be happy, who fell into bewilderment, apathy, isolation...
From the mischievous brunette
– which brings to the street its grace, the happiness of its freedom conquered by its own strength.
With a prying gaze – who is not afraid to look at the other, to inspect their needs and deficiencies.

Brazil, green that gives – Everything grows, as Caminha said, without needing to deforest, scorch the land, or invade.
For the world to admire.
– of our greatness and creativity.
The Brazil of my love
Land of Our Lord
Yes, from our side, from the one who opens his arms, the Redeemer, the one who loves us.
Brazil! Brazil! For me! For me! – for us, for everyone.

Oh! That coconut tree that bears coconuts! – and it provides a vibrant, sustainable, and clean economy.

Where do I tie my net?
On clear moonlit nights
– There is no more room for leisure, for idleness. The poor worker tied up his hammock and put it away, to work until he dies on a delivery motorcycle in the "traffic of entrepreneurship".

Brazil! Brazil!– Revive!

Oh! These murmuring fountains
Where can I quench my thirst?
And where does the moon come to play?
And so many others... Now privatized, sources of enrichment for a select few.

Oh! This beautiful, tanned Brazil
This is my Brazilian Brazil.
Land of samba and tambourine
– Revive, land of vigor! Of joy! Awaken us to the sound of your drums, from the lethargy into which we have been plunged.
Brazil! Brazil! For me! For me! – for us, for everyone!
