Brazil at secret meeting preparing for the invasion of Venezuela.
"Having nothing to do with the matter, Brazil participates in secret meetings led by the United States government to decimate the legitimately established government in Venezuela," writes journalist Gilvandro Filho, of Journalists for Democracy; "Where does Brazil stand in this situation? The newest and most servile ally of Donald Trump's government, occupying a position contrary to everything it stood for when it was an independent and autonomous country. Today, Bolsonaro's Brazil is a direct line of Trump and Steve Bannon, one of the most dangerous creatures that American politics has ever produced, who left his mark on the campaign and, consequently, on the new government that took over the country in January."

Without having anything to do with the matter, Brazil participates in secret meetings led by the United States government to decimate the legitimately established government in Venezuela. The latest of these meetings took place last Wednesday (15), in Washington, with around 40 participants, including the Brazilian ambassador to the US, Carlos Velho. These are articulations in favor of war against Venezuela with the aim of overthrowing the government of Nicolás Maduro.
Who is Brazil in this bread line? The newest and most servile ally of Donald Trump's government, occupying a position contrary to everything it had stood for when it was an independent and autonomous country. Today, Bolsonaro's Brazil is a direct line of Trump and Steve Bannon, one of the most dangerous creatures that American politics has ever produced, who left his mark on the campaign and, consequently, on the new government that took office in January.
The meeting, as reported in some media outlets—not all, nor the largest—was convened by a certain Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), an institution that receives financial injections from giants of the "Yankee" economy such as Exxon Mobil, Bank of America, or Chevron. An active and operational institute at the disposal of coups d'état, based in the US and focused on Latin America, with missiles pointed at countries like Venezuela, Nicaragua, or Cuba.
According to a report published Tuesday by the website Brasil de Fato, citing The Grayzone as its source, the meeting brought together a significant number of "warlords" who frequent the fronts set up by the United States around the world. This included representatives from the current and former U.S. State Department, the National Intelligence Council, and the National Security Council, including the former commander of the U.S. Southern Command, Admiral Kurt Tidd. The cream of the crop of global coup plotters and war-mongers on the continent.
The question Venezuelans are asking about this evil gathering is the same one everyone is asking: "What is a Brazilian diplomat doing at a secret meeting where a war against Venezuela is being planned?". According to the Venezuelan ambassador to the UN, Jair Bolsonaro's government is violating Brazil's own Constitution and its history of peace by getting involved "in Trump's racist adventure". Venezuela will take Brazil's stance to international organizations.
This is a predictable attitude from a government that has chosen to align itself with Trump and the global far-right. A government that appointed as foreign minister a clumsy figure like Ernesto Araújo, an unbelievable figure nominated by the equally unbelievable Olavo de Carvalho, the "philosopher" and consultant to Bolsonaro and his sons. And a government that becomes a global laughingstock by exchanging diplomatic dignity and respect for the powers for the servility of those who bow down, head bowed and face down, to whatever the masterless one commands.
In the eyes of the world, Bolsonaro's Brazil is solidifying its image as a colony of the United States.
Speaking of Venezuela, the country received today (16) the first shipment of humanitarian aid (food and medicine), this one legitimate and correct, sent by the Red Cross and under the supervision of international organizations. Not that nonsense orchestrated by the United States and its puppet known as Juan Guaidó. A macabre adventure in which, of course, the Bolsonaro government wanted to pose as the protagonist, but was nothing more than a vagrant extra.
