Brazil is beginning to believe it has suffered a coup d'état.
There was no way this coup could succeed. It wasn't intended to restore the "Welfare State" of the Lula era to Brazilians, it was intended to take it away. It was almost maddening to see the Brazilian people supporting the overthrow of a government that was the only thing defending them from the plundering greed of the PSDB and PMDB parties.
Despite the belated mobilizations of the left against the 2016 parliamentary coup, even the most convinced leftist will have to acknowledge that the accusation that a coup took place in the country last year did not truly convince the vast majority of Brazilians.
This happened for several reasons. The main one is that most people began to see the economy faltering and believed that by removing Dilma from office, they would get back the "good life" of Lula's time, that is, the comfortable life that made this majority vote twice for him and twice for the person he endorsed.

We, the conscious Brazilians, endure this torture. For the sake of our country.
The PSDB-PMDB conspiracy, however, took place in the anteroom of the Federal Executive Branch and was broadcast in the media in full HD and Dolby Digital. The only thing missing was 3D, but that happened in the streets with demonstrations financed by right-wing parties and foreign "investors" since 2013...
With the indispensable help of the left, which the right loves to love, of course.
But I repeat: it couldn't work. There was no way it could work. The people didn't want to see bankers smiling at cuts to the Bolsa Família program or the captain of São Paulo's industry having orgasms over the removal of labor rights; the people wanted back what Lula had given them.
