Bolsonaro is aiming for "judgment day".

"In a democracy, corpses often bury political careers. Only in a democracy," says columnist Ricardo Capelli, who is betting on a coup attempt by Jair Bolsonaro.

Bolsonaro's narrow victory reflects the sentiment of only 10% of the country.

The Captain's "little stroll" through Brasília this Sunday was a clear demonstration that he will go to the very end with his strategy.

It is unlikely that the president is unaware of

Risks and all the variables. It seems he is relying on the old maxim: whoever wants peace must prepare for war. If it doesn't come, all the better.

He knows that firing Mandetta at this moment could cause him some damage. To avoid the burden, he is publicly discrediting the minister, hoping for his dismissal.

Another hypothesis that should be considered is the possibility of two tactics. Mandetta tries to mitigate the effects of the pandemic while the president prepares his base for battle. Contradictory? Perhaps not.

It's unlikely that Bolsonaro is a genius who will single-handedly win the lottery, going against the grain of all world leaders.

Why was chloroquine, supposedly successfully tested by French doctors, not used in Italy? Why did no country in the world adopt the vertical isolation approach?

So, would the Captain be a complete idiot? That's unlikely either. The remedy in question is the "bra" that helps support the false discourse of defending the economy.

His goal is not health or the economy. He seeks power.

The president managed to escape the corner by embracing the banner of defending jobs. He lost some divisions along the way, and all indications are that he's still bleeding, but there's no doubt he's regrouped and reorganized his army for the decisive moment.

All scholars indicate that we are heading towards a humanitarian disaster. In New York, more people died in just 48 hours than in all the homicides that occurred in 2019. The virus brought the "unyielding" Trump to his knees before Lord Keynes.

Deaths in Italy are more concentrated in the wealthy north. Social unrest caused by the high cost of living occurs mainly in the poorer south.

The most likely scenario, unfortunately, is a profusion of corpses in the southeast and south of the country, and increased social tension in the poorest regions. Army trucks carrying bodies down Paulista Avenue and looting in the outskirts. How about that?

The Captain is a product of chaos; permanent instability is his natural habitat. He has a large portion of his troops in the armed forces, exerts strong influence over state police forces, and possesses an enviable virtual army. Everything indicates that his activity on social media is the work of professionals, organized and directed from abroad.

Brazil doesn't seem prepared to say goodbye to its loved ones via cell phone. If the worst happens, a radicalization of the political environment will be inevitable. An outcome, one way or another, will occur. Who will be to blame? How to reorganize the country in the face of chaos? Are the governors sabotaging the nation by dividing it?

Bolsonaro is already preparing his army for this dispute. Is there anyone in the operations room of the Democratic Opposition's High Command? Does such a Command even exist?

A word of advice: in democracies, corpses often bury political careers. Only in democracies.

Don't be fooled, the Captain is preparing for the "Doomsday" war.
