Bolsonaro-Guedes: to businesses, bailouts and money; to the people, bananas and coronavirus.

Journalist Mauro Lopes, editor of Brasil 247 and founder of the Paz e Bem channel, writes about the treatment that Bolsonaro and Guedes are giving to companies and people during the coronavirus crisis.

Crisis situations are exceptional because they condense, expressing in vibrant colors what is often presented to us in pastel shades.

Now we see in bold letters what the ultraliberal capitalism of the neo-Nazis led by the Bolsonaro-Guedes duo is all about. Read the beginning of a report from... Sheet from two days ago:

"The Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, stated this Friday morning (13) that he will present economic measures within 48 hours to combat the effects of the coronavirus. Some initiatives were anticipated by him, such as tax exemption for imports, strengthening the role of public banks and even the possible postponement of tax payments by companies in difficulty."

While the minister was rushing to the aid of businesses, the day before Bolsonaro had protested against the fact that 32 million people, the elderly and disabled – the main victims of the coronavirus – would once again be entitled to BPC (Continuous Benefit Payment) resources.

His tweet is the most radical expression of his cruelty and psychopathy. It's remarkable that this comes across in a text without a single adjective, without a single insult.

It is the substantive expression of the neo-Nazi regime:

"Congress overturned our veto and expanded the number of families eligible for the BPC, the Continuous Benefit Payment. This measure imposes an extra expense of R$ 20 billion on the Executive branch this year."

To ordinary people, Bolsonaro gave the middle finger, on the same day that his minister promised money, lots of money, to companies and businessmen.

This system is the death of people.

Long live businesses, a motto for ordinary people – that's the slogan of the Bolsonaro-Guedes government.
