Bolsonaro has chosen chaos and catastrophe.

"In his televised address, Bolsonaro embraced chaos, catastrophe, and the extermination of the people; he spoke like a war criminal; a necropolitician," says columnist Jeferson Miola, regarding the presidential speech that shocked the country.

Bolsonaro has chosen chaos and catastrophe.

In his televised address [March 24], Bolsonaro embraced the option for chaos, catastrophe, and the extermination of the people; he spoke like a war criminal; a necropolitician.

The speech was a review of the insanities and barbarities he defended and that were propagated by the fascist pack regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

The risk of an economic and humanitarian catastrophe in Brazil has become a frighteningly more tangible scenario after this insane pronouncement.

Bolsonaro is a genocidal sociopath; an inhuman aberration with an uncontrollable drive for death and destruction.

It is more than proven that this inhuman aberration is incapable of thinking and acting differently from the way a genocidal sociopath thinks and acts. Therefore, one should never be surprised by Bolsonaro: he can always be worse.

The response to Bolsonaro's nonsense is civil disobedience; it is the rejection of genocidal measures that, as global experience in combating the pandemic proves, result in large-scale deaths.

Due to Bolsonaro's macabre choice, the country is at least 5 weeks behind schedule in its planning to confront the pandemic in all its dimensions, especially the health and economic ones.

Bolsonaro urgently needs to be removed from the presidency because he is the biggest obstacle to reversing this frightening trend that the country faces.

A ruling elite And the Bolsonaro-supporting faction, responsible for the fraudulent election of Bolsonaro/Mourão, has a greater responsibility in the effort to avoid the precipice, because it holds a monopoly on media power, financial power, military power, judicial power, police power, and also an absolute parliamentary majority to make any decision, including that of immediately removing Bolsonaro from office.

Either this powerful elite allies itself with democratic and popular sectors in the struggle to urgently stop this fascist tragedy; or, otherwise, it will become complicit in the genocide.
