Goodbye, Abe

"Weintraub proved, in a short time, to be more than just a professional failure. Despite the vast number of supporters, it will be very difficult for the president to find another such perfect imbecile," writes columnist Leandro Fortes, of Journalists for Democracy.

By Leandro Fortes, for Journalists for Democracy Abraham Weintraub is not just any Bolsonaro supporter. Mediocre, ignorant, prejudiced, and intellectually destitute, Weintraub is the very definition of a "bolsominion"—a curiously amusing expression that, from now until eternity, will nevertheless serve to designate every kind of cretin linked to Jair Bolsonaro and everything that pertains to this government of demented individuals that, for now, still resists.

“Abe,” as he refers to himself, with an English pronunciation (“Eibe”), admitted to a friend, according to journalist Elio Gaspari, that he accepted the position of Minister of Education mainly to get revenge on the left, on the leftists who abused and humiliated him in college and in life – the perfect chronicle of an idiot who blames others for his own failures, incidentally also the profile of the typical middle-class Brazilian fascist.

Weintraub quickly proved to be more than just a professional failure. Completely stupid, he didn't even grasp the political scope of the position of minister in one of the most important portfolios in the Republic. He has always behaved like a naive provincial, incapable of interpreting the reality of Brazilian education, its needs and demands.

Instead, he went for the pure and simple destruction of a system that, in his mind, was the evil construct of the same left that, throughout his life, had treated him as the absolute cretin he always was, no more, no less.

Intoxicated, he even thought himself funny, to the point of starring in a video where he imitated Gene Kelly in the movie "Singin' in the Rain" – perhaps one of the most pathetic scenes in the history of the Republic. Following that, he endeavored to deliver the worst, most confusing, and most disorganized ENEM exam since its creation in 1998.

He was also the only Minister of Education who was demonstrably semi-illiterate, a fact he tried to compensate for by making histrionic statements and snarling nonsense, like a wild beast, until he was caught in the act of bravado, calling the Supreme Court justices bums and advocating for their imprisonment during the fateful ministerial meeting of April 22, 2020.

The fact is that, due to circumstances, Bolsonaro was forced to get rid of a minister who, on his own, possessed all the nefarious qualities necessary to occupy a position in the federal government.

Despite the vast number of cattle, it will be very difficult for the president to find another fool as perfect as him.
