The evil of myth in 7 curses

Death, Lies, Military, Cronyism, Militia, Misery, Moro

The failure of Mephistophelean, medieval, and morbid messianism blended Machiavellian carnage, a myriad of lies, rogue soldiers, mercenary militias, numerous perks, and misery. The miasma of carnage, the method of lying, the ministerial madhouse, the perks and embezzlements of the military, the million-dollar schemes, the hodgepodge with the militias, and the multiplication of misery mark the macabre and moribund curse of a malevolent, demented, and death-merchant Messiah.

The root of the ills is a manipulative, deceitful, and malevolent magistrate, the lazy Moro, in cahoots with a pack of malicious brats from the Public Prosecutor's Office. The marriage of this scoundrel with the gang of mythomaniacs, pettiness, bad faith, and ragged mediocrity has created a paltry mechanism, materialized in a mausoleum of martyrdom, illness, beggary, mutilation, and seven curses:

1) Death

The death drive follows Bolsonaro like a pestilent trail. Elimination is the goal, hatred the method. His government reeks of necropolises. During the escalation of the pandemic, he dismissed the surpassing of China's death toll with "so what?" When we reached 2,500 deaths: "I'm not a gravedigger," he scorned in another fit of dementia. Now he welcomes a fatal virus. The cult of death and weapons summarizes the captain's sepulchral ideology. "It will only change, unfortunately, when one day we go to a civil war here and do the work that the military regime didn't do: killing about 30,000... If some innocent people die, that's fine, innocent people die in every war," he declared in 1999. Three decades later, the macabre prophecy exploded in Bolsonaro's administration, sacrificing more than 620,000 people in the pandemic.

When voting against Dilma Rousseff in the impeachment, the captain revered the former head of the DOI-CODI, the convicted Carlos Alberto Brilhante Ustra, the epitome of the murderous sadism of the dictatorship. As president, he rolled out the red carpet for another villain, Major Sebastião Curió, commander of the repression in Araguaia, which resulted in 41 deaths. He praised the dictator Alfredo Stroessner: “a statesman who knew perfectly well that his country, Paraguay, could only continue progressing if it had energy. So, here is my tribute to our General Alfredo Stroessner.” Augusto Pinochet, another cold and cruel murderer, was also revered. “Pinochet should have killed more people,” the captain declared.

The psychopathy of extermination, of destruction, the mockery of life, unleashed a death wish after the new intestinal obstruction. The sons complained and even invoked the Supreme Court, which they once wanted to shut down, but Bolsonaro's funerary archaeology scares away solidarity: "I hope (Dilma Rousseff) ends up today, with a heart attack or cancer." "That's what happens when you torture and don't kill," he defended in June 1999. "The great mistake of the dictatorship was not killing bums and scoundrels like Fernando Henrique," he pontificated in July 1997. Then, during the 2018 campaign, marked by the gun gesture, he proclaimed loudly in the north of the country: "We're going to shoot all the PT supporters here in Acre."

2) Lie

Repeating lies is a Nazi tactic. A study by the agency "Aos Fatos" quantified Bolsonaro's tactics. In 2021, the daily average of false or distorted statements by the captain increased significantly. There were 6,9 misleading statements per day (7 is a liar's count). This average surpasses the accumulated number of untruths he has uttered since taking office, which is 4,3 per day. In 2019, 606 statements were cataloged as untrue, an average of 1,6 per day. In 2020, there were 1.592 distorted claims, or 4,36 routinely. In 2021, no fewer than 2.516 statements contained unfounded information. Regarding the pandemic alone, the president made 1.278 false statements last year.

The biggest hoax is that the Supreme Court prevented him from working during the pandemic. Besides being a lie, it's cynicism. His fallacious statements about vaccines also gained more space in Bolsonaro's parallel universe: there were 357 false and distorted claims about vaccines. The champion of false repetitions (52 times) was the statement that Brazil is the country that vaccinates the most people in the world. Regarding the economy, he quintupled the number of unrealistic statements in 2021.

The lie repeated 58 times was that the country created more formal jobs in 2020 than in 2019. This falsehood was repeated at the UN. The General Registry of Employed and Unemployed Workers disproves it. The falsehoods are mainly disseminated on radio stations (28%), followed by social media broadcasts (26%) and meetings with the brainless in the "pen," accounting for 21% of the false claims.

3) Military

The 6 military personnel who revel in power have corrupted the Brazilian Armed Forces. They diverted resources from the fight against the pandemic to gastronomic orgies with picanha, filet mignon, cod, salmon, shrimp, and alcoholic beverages. They had already drained funds destined for the fight against Covid-19 for the renovation of buildings, the purchase of minibuses, and the acquisition of items such as backpacks, cell phone holders, vests, and flags. In superfluous expenses alone in 2020, R$ 2,2 million was spent on chewing gum, R$ 32 million wasted on pizzas and soft drinks, and R$ 15,6 million was spent on condensed milk for the troops. That condensed milk that Bolsonaro said to "shove in."

Military officers in government positions who are in pajamas (referring to their paid positions) have started earning above the constitutional ceiling (R$ 39,2). Braga Neto, Luiz Eduardo Ramos, and Augusto Heleno, those who echo the coup-mongering rhetoric, were among those who benefited. This extravagance was sanctioned by Paulo Guedes with a decree authorizing salary increases of up to 69%. Those benefiting from Guedes' new social decree include Bolsonaro himself and a retinue of about 100 "pajama-clad" officials holding positions of trust.

The pandemic exploded, and corruption emerged in the administration of General Eduardo Pazuello. The purchase of 20 million doses of Covaxin exposed illegalities and criminal behavior. The captain requested 20 million doses of this vaccine. Under Pazuello's banner, the taxpayer would pay R$ 1,6 billion to acquire an overpriced vaccine, never delivered, and brokered by a defaulter linked to the government leader, Ricardo Barros. Alerted to the scandal by the Miranda brothers – a career civil servant at the Ministry of Health and a federal deputy – Bolsonaro did nothing. In truth, he encouraged the deal by lobbying the Indian government. He committed malfeasance.

Another colonel, Marcelo Blanco, discussed the purchase of vaccines with a swindler, who had been received numerous times at the Ministry of Health, while serious laboratories, with rules to prevent promiscuity between the public and private sectors, begged for meetings to negotiate effective, safe, and cheaper vaccines. The conman Luiz Paulo Dominguetti, associated with a charlatan and other anonymous crooks, accused the top brass of the Ministry of Health of demanding a bribe of $1 per dose in the brokering of 400 million non-existent AstraZeneca vaccines. Silence in the barracks.

Military personnel also trafficked cocaine on the presidential plane under the watchful eye of General Heleno, and Pazuello was not punished for a military transgression. A fearless Brazilian general said he secretly received the Covid-19 vaccine. What they don't hide is nepotism. The Civil House, when run by General Braga Neto, authorized the appointment of his daughter to a management position at the National Health Agency. Pazuello's daughter secured a position in the Rio de Janeiro government. Eduardo Villas Bôas's daughter got a post in Damares's ministry. Vice President Mourão's son received two promotions in six months at Banco do Brasil. The shame will haunt them for the rest of their lives and for the generations that succeed them.

4) Mamata

One of the main appeals of Bolsonaro's campaign was the false image of a man of the people, wearing football team jerseys, flip-flops, and eating bread with butter or condensed milk and coffee. This charade of simplicity was supported by the "the gravy train is over" marketing slogan to sell the illusion of a new kind of politics. This farce propelled the captain to the VIP box of the Planalto Palace. There, besides not working, he squanders public money like never before and spends lavishly on all the anomalies he pretended to combat.

The lavish vacation in Santa Catarina and Guarujá, between December 18, 2020, and January 5, 2021, depleted public funds by exactly R$2,4 million. A daily waste of over R$140. When questioned about the squandering of public money, the captain, nicknamed "Bolsocaro," scoffed: "Ah, he spent millions on vacation. There will be more vacations to be spent; don't worry," he prophesied. He repeated the debauchery during Carnival 2021 (R$1,7 million) and during the 2021/2022 vacation, when he spent money until he suffered an intestinal obstruction. Constipated, he was forced to conserve public funds.

Flávio Bolsonaro's son bought a mansion with cracks from the foundation to the roof. The property's value – R$ 5,97 million – is more than triple the assets declared by the senator in 2018. His declared assets to the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) totaled R$ 1,7 million: an apartment, a commercial space, 50% of a franchise of the fantastic chocolate factory, a car, and investments. The deed attests to the payment of R$ 2,8 million as a down payment and bank financing of another R$ 3,1 million. Herein lies the problem. There was an increase of R$ 1,1 million in assets in 2 years. The 3 bank transfers to pay the down payment total only R$ 1,09 million of the R$ 2,8 million indicated in the deed as paid. All the brothers show the same success in real estate transactions.

The Bolsonaro family, whose properties and opulence belie their modesty, have historically been funded by public money. Carlos Bolsonaro is a city councilman in Rio de Janeiro, where his salary is R$ 18,000. He has held office for 21 years. Flávio Bolsonaro has held office for 17 years, four of them as a state representative (salary of R$ 25,300) and the most recent as a senator, with a gross salary of R$ 33,700. Eduardo Bolsonaro has served five years as a federal representative and receives, in addition to perks, a salary of R$ 33,700. The well-off clan, including the father who has held office for almost 30 years, earns close to R$ 130,000 a month from public funds. It's an innovative form of welfare. The only mask Bolsonaro wore, that of false simplicity, fell long ago.

Bolsonaro didn't squander public money alone. He socialized taxpayers' money and privatized the public budget with some congressmen in order to shield himself from impeachment requests. A secret budget was created to distribute among his loyal supporters. The underground scheme involved allocating billions in budget amendments to loyal parliamentarians, who could decide where the resources would be applied. The foundations of public administration—transparency, impartiality, and cost-effectiveness—were imploded. A former leader of Bolsonaro in the Federal Senate, Francisco Rodrigues, was caught hiding nearly R$ 30 in cash in his underwear.

Bolsonaro joined the PL party of Valdemar da Costa Neto, one of those imprisoned in the Mensalão scandal for the crimes of passive corruption and money laundering. He knows the subject well. He's an old courtesan who, despite his imprisonment and public humiliation, continues to enjoy public office. He was sentenced in 2012 by the Supreme Federal Court to 7 years and 10 months in prison and a fine exceeding R$ 1 million. A small amount compared to the R$ 8,8 million he amassed as bribes to maintain his power base. Bolsonaro's congresswoman and minister, Flávia Arruda, is married to José Roberto Arruda, whose career is pure debauchery and crime.

5) Militia

The promiscuous relationship with the militia goes back a long way. Flávio Bolsonaro, in the Rio de Janeiro State Legislative Assembly in 2007, stated: “The militia is nothing more than a group of police officers, military or not, governed by a certain hierarchy and discipline, undoubtedly seeking to purge the worst elements from the community: the criminals.” His father retorted: “They offer security and, in this way, manage to maintain order and discipline in the communities. That's what is called a militia. The government should support them, since it cannot combat drug traffickers. And perhaps, in the future, it should legalize them.” The penchant for paramilitary mechanisms even founded a digital militia, already tracked by the Supreme Federal Court.

Flávio Bolsonaro hired Fabricio Queiroz, a military police officer involved in the "rachadinha" scheme and a friend of his father. Queiroz was a close associate of Adriano da Nóbrega. Adriano was convicted of homicide, and the captain exonerated him in the Chamber of Deputies. The Tiradentes Medal, awarded to Adriano by the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro, was presented to him in prison. Some time later, Adriano was honored with a hail of bullets in Bahia. Flávio Bolsonaro employed Adriano's then-wife, Danielle Mendonça da Costa, and his mother, Raimunda Veras Magalhães. The suspects in the murder of councilwoman Marielle Franco are neighbors in the same condominium where the investigated individual, on the orders of Sérgio Moro, was the doorman—one of those whom Guedes despises.

The convicted criminal Roberto Jefferson, besides being a thief and a symbol of the “new politics,” also applauds the militia. “We need to set up some militias in Juiz de Fora and beat the Municipal Guard, really beat them up, overturn their cars, set them on fire and beat them up. Set up a scene for them to arrive. Then, when they arrive, block the street with tires, set it on fire, isolate the guys, beat them with batons, hit their knees, elbows, shoulders, to break their joints. Beat them up and they won't come back,” he boasted. In prison, Roberto Jefferson has become like federal deputy Daniel Silveira, who was arrested twice last year.

Michelle Bolsonaro's relatives are also familiar with crime. Her deceased grandmother was arrested for drug trafficking. Her mother was charged with document forgery, and her uncle, João Batista Firmo Ferreira, involved in a land grabbing scheme, was sentenced to 10 years for being part of a militia that sold illegal plots in Brasília. Michelle Bolsonaro received R$ 89 in her account, deposited by Fabrício Queiroz, who was arrested in 2020. When questioned about the money, the president became distraught and threatened to assault a journalist: “I want to punch you in the mouth. You scoundrel.” But the simple question remains unanswered.

6) Misery

The economy imploded under Bolsonaro's administration. Announced as a major acquisition, Paulo Guedes is a worse version of Dorian Gray, a narcissistic blind man gazing into an imaginary mirror: V-shaped growth, private GDP growth, quality amidst recession, next week there will be… The spending cap was blown up in the name of a political compromise, and the economy collapsed into recession. It's electioneering and populist spending spree. The result will be increased public spending, higher interest rates, explosive inflation, devaluation of the real, and a deepening recessionary abyss. On the other hand, there will be a loss of credibility, distrust, and unpredictability.

Guedes' credibility also plummeted after the discovery of an offshore company with US$9,5 million in the Virgin Islands. The "default amendment" was another trick to pay for the protection of the centrist bloc, just like the secret budget. After almost 3 years of illusion, the economic outcome is tragic. Inflation has returned threateningly, hunger has resurfaced devastatingly, investors have evaporated, factories have closed, public debt has grown, unemployment is sacrificing millions of fathers and mothers, Brazilians' income has evaporated, the real was one of the currencies that depreciated the most on the planet, and Brazil has suffered a vertiginous fall in the ranking of world economies. Misery has exploded in Brazil. It is miserably piled up on every corner, every block, every traffic light.

7) Moro

The genesis of all evil, of this devastating, deadly, immoral, chaotic, incompetent, militia-like, authoritarian model with similarities to Nazi-fascism, occurred in the 13th Federal Court of Curitiba, commanded by a dishonest judge in collusion with some prosecutors eager for political power. The mask fell very quickly, and the leading figures of Operation Lava Jato are now vying for elected office after a consensual rape of the Brazilian judicial system.

Sérgio Moro illegally leaked conversations of former President Dilma Rousseff, wiretapped lawyers, prevented Lula's release, and ended the secrecy surrounding Antônio Palocci's bogus plea bargain to favor Bolsonaro. His reward was the Ministry of Justice. The conversations show Moro coordinating the Curitiba task force, suggesting a reversal of the operation's phases, assigning prosecutors to hearings, dictating notes to the Public Prosecutor's Office to discredit the defense's "little show," shielding politicians of his choosing, and indicating sources to bolster the accusation.

The 480 days of his government speak for themselves: he was complicit in crime by protecting his colleague Onyx Lorenzoni for illegal campaign contributions, turning a blind eye to the First Lady's checks, ignoring the militias, shrugging off Fabrício Queiroz, the serious investigations against Bolsonaro's sons, disregarding the assassination of Marielle Franco, remaining silent when his colleague Weintraub called for the imprisonment of Supreme Court justices, proposing a license to kill, the use of illegally obtained evidence in good faith, and working against the law that punishes abuse of authority and the judge of guarantees. He is the father of tragedy.

Bolsonaro is the ultimate embodiment of human scum. Evildoers surround him, the infamous exalt him, the degenerates praise him, the vile flatter him, delinquents encircle him, plunderers protect him, murderers follow him, fascists serve him, and coup plotters celebrate him. Every horde of villains finds refuge in the Bolsonaro den. They spread death, lies, venality, militias, misery, and conspire against life, civility, science, and light. The seven plagues of Bolsonarism are equivalent to the seven plagues of Egypt, the seven deadly sins that afflict Brazil and will leave marks for years to come before they are fully healed.
