UN: Nicaragua expresses support for Cuba, Venezuela, and Palestine against imperial aggression.
Foreign Minister Denis Moncada denounced the economic blockades, unilateral sanctions, and coercive measures imposed against both countries.
247 Nicaragua's Foreign Minister, Denis Moncada, expressed his country's solidarity with Venezuela and Cuba, victims of "persistent imperial aggression" by the United States and its allies.
“As revolutionary brothers in the Greater Homeland, sons of Latin American leaders and protagonists of victorious revolutions, we reaffirm our full and unequivocal solidarity and brotherhood with Cuba and Venezuela,” Moncada declared at the United Nations General Assembly.
The foreign minister denounced the economic blockades, unilateral sanctions, and coercive measures imposed against both countries. According to the minister, Cuba and Venezuela suffer "crimes against humanity" that affect the peace, security, and well-being of their peoples.
The Nicaraguan foreign minister criticized “absurd manipulations” and “unfounded accusations” surrounding drug trafficking. Moncada argued that rich countries fuel the problem and are the main centers of consumption, while production is promoted in less developed nations. “Human suffering is converted into business and misery.”
