Vieira's defense was made in an interview with Estado de S.Paulo, in which the ambassador also gave details about how the resumption of relations with Venezuela will take place, the only one suspended by Jair Bolsonaro. "We will support Venezuela's return to Mercosur," he declared.

Na press conference in which he announced the first names of his team.Mauro Vieira had already announced that the future Lula government would resume relations with the neighboring country starting on January 1st.

However, since Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro is banned from entering the country by a decree from Bolsonaro, he will not be able to attend the inauguration.
