247 - Argentine President Alberto Fernández met with Brazilian President Lula on Monday (2). After the meeting, the Argentine leader said that the parties agreed to strengthen the bond, declaring that "Argentina and Brazil are indissolubly united countries and no political moment can disturb that."

Fernández also stated that he considers Lula a "regional leader" capable of giving "impetus" to Latin America and repositioning Brazil in all international forums.

"Brazil's absence from international forums was very evident. We cannot allow this. Brazil is too important a country in the region to be absent," he said.

On his social media, Lula stated that Brazil has resumed "dialogue and friendship with our largest neighbor, one of Brazil's main partners in the world."

The Argentine president also said that he expects a state visit from Lula to Argentina on January 23rd and 24th.

Before meeting with the Argentine president, Lula had meetings with the King of Spain, Felipe IV, and with the presidents of Bolivia, Luis Arce; Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco; and Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso.
