President highlights regional integration during official visit to Panama.
247 - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated this Wednesday (28) that Latin America and the Caribbean have the political and economic conditions to build their own project for insertion into the international scene. The statement was made during a press interview at the end of his official visit to Panama, marked by bilateral meetings, the signing of agreements and participation in regional forums.
On the second day of the agenda, Lula assessed that the meeting reinforced confidence in the capacity for joint coordination among the countries of the region, reports Agência Gov. “We conclude this visit with renewed certainty that Latin America and the Caribbean are capable of building an autonomous project of international integration. Together, we can drive a new cycle of prosperity for 660 million Latin Americans and Caribbeans,” declared the Brazilian president.
