"The homeland is not for sale," says the leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.
The Secretary-General of the PSUV says that Chavismo will not make concessions on Venezuelan sovereignty.
247 - The Secretary-General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, has once again hardened his rhetoric against sectors of the opposition. During his TV program, "Con El Mazo Dando"In an interview broadcast on VTV, he responded directly to a provocation made by opponent Leopoldo Castillo, published on the social network X. According to information from Orinoco MailCastillo had suggested that Chavismo should negotiate to avoid further isolation. "If you are intelligent, negotiate (...) You have already lost Venezuela and the world repudiates you," the opposition leader wrote.
The Chavista leader reinforced the idea that national sovereignty is above any political agreement. "We may be the most brutal people on planet Earth, but we will not negotiate the Fatherland," he stated, emphasizing that any attempt at negotiation in this regard will not have the support of the PSUV.
Cabello's statement is yet another sign of the firm stance that Chavismo maintains in the face of internal and external pressures. In recent months, the leadership of the Bolivarian Revolution has repeatedly stated that it will not abandon principles considered non-negotiable, such as national independence and Nicolás Maduro remaining in power.
