247 - Brazil has received authorization from Singaporean health authorities to export beef tallow for industrial use, including the production of biofuels. This measure strengthens trade relations between the two countries.

According to data from the Brazilian government, in 2024 Singapore imported more than US$680 million in agricultural products from Brazil. The main sales included meat, sugar and ethanol products, and other animal products. With this new opening, Brazil expands its participation in a market considered strategic, since the city-state is one of the main logistics and financial hubs in Asia.

The Asian country has seen a growing demand for inputs for renewable energy production, a sector in which Brazil positions itself as a competitive and sustainable supplier of raw materials. The entry of Brazilian beef tallow into this market reinforces the national vocation to contribute to clean energy production chains.

With Singapore's authorization, Brazilian agribusiness has opened 435 new markets since 2023, reaching 72 destinations in that period. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), these results are the fruit of joint efforts to expand the international reach of Brazilian products.

This measure reinforces Brazil's role as a relevant player in global food and energy security, as well as consolidating its presence in highly competitive and strategic markets.
